Dr. Kim Nearpass, ND

Kim Nearpass is a registered naturopathic doctor, Colorado native, Colorado College alum and a 2003 graduate of the National University of Natural Medicine (formerly the National College of Naturopathic Medicine) in Portland, Oregon. She is also a certified practitioner of the Arvigo Technique of Maya Abdominal Therapy and a Reiki Level 3 Master. She always wanted to be a healthcare provider, and growing up with an appreciation for the outdoors, coupled with her experiences working in indigenous cultures in southern Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer and Ecuador as a rainforest naturalist guide, clarified her passion for and belief in the healing powers of nature. Dr. Nearpass became a naturopathic doctor to help patients regain true health, as gently, safely and naturally as possible. As a registered naturopathic doctor, she is a family practitioner who works primarily with women and has expertise in issues such as menopause, abnormal and painful menstrual cycles, fertility challenges and endocrine problems, including thyroid and adrenal imbalance.

Dr. Nearpass considers herself a “vitalistic” ND, striving to identify the underlying cause of "dis-ease” and steering away from piles of supplements or medications. She holds a strong belief in the “vis medicatrix naturae”, leaning heavily on nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy and nature cure. In addition, she uses Maya Abdominal Therapy and Reiki in her practice to help balance physical and energetic misalignments and blockages.

She loves her job, and the fact that her passion for nature and her naturopathic profession align. She feels fortunate to be able to live what she preaches, and to come to work every day, making genuine connections and knowing that she is doing her very best for patients.

“Healing is not something that doctors do for patients, but rather healing is what patients do for themselves, with the guidance and support of their practitioner.”
