Although it’s easy to access less-expensive options on the internet, there is no guarantee of safety or quality and there are no international regulations to prevent junk knockoffs. When you purchase on-line, especially from e-commerce giants like Amazon and Walmart, they may source from third party sellers who often use counterfeit products with little to none of the listed ingredients, and worse may include potentially toxic compounds. A 2022 study from the University of Mississippi tested 30 “natural” immune supplements from Amazon and found that only 13 contained what was listed on the product’s label.
